PSL Camera is an industrial configuration and monitoring application designed to support the setup of enterprise camera devices in private operational environments, including mining and industrial facilities.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and the limited circumstances under which information may be processed.
We are committed to transparency, data minimization, and protecting user privacy.
2. Data Collection and Use
2.1 No Personal User Data
The App does not collect or require:
- User accounts or authentication
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Payment or financial information
- Photos, videos, or media from the device
The App is intended for authorized personnel using enterprise-managed devices.
2.2 Device Configuration and Monitoring
The App is used to:
- Connect to an industrial camera via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
- Transmit network configuration parameters (e.g., Wi-Fi credentials) directly to the device
- Display real-time device status messages and logs
All configuration communication occurs locally between the iPhone/iPad and the industrial device.
The App does not store Wi-Fi credentials, images, or device logs beyond the active session.
4. Permissions
The App requests only the permissions necessary for industrial configuration features. On iOS, permission prompts are displayed to the user before any access is granted, in accordance with Apple’s privacy guidelines.
Bluetooth Permission
Used to discover and connect to the camera device:
- NSBluetoothAlwaysUsageDescription – Required on iOS 13 and later to scan for and connect to BLE devices.
The App displays a system prompt explaining why Bluetooth access is needed. Bluetooth access is not used for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
Local Network Permission
On iOS 14 and later, the App may request access to the local network to facilitate device discovery and configuration:
- NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription – Used to interact with devices on the same local Wi-Fi network.
Wi-Fi Configuration
Wi-Fi credentials (SSID and password) are entered manually by the user within the App and transmitted directly to the industrial camera device via Bluetooth. The App does not scan for, list, or store nearby Wi-Fi networks. The App does not determine, collect, or store the user’s physical location.
5. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
The App does not track users across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes. Therefore, no App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is shown, in compliance with Apple’s guidelines.
Firebase Analytics is used solely for internal app performance monitoring and does not link data to third-party advertising networks.
6. Data Sharing
The App does not sell or share personal data with third parties. No third-party SDKs or analytics services are included.
7. Data Retention
- Configuration data is retained only during active setup sessions
- No analytics or usage data is collected or retained
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 18 and is designed exclusively for enterprise and industrial use.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be published at the same URL, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly.

The app does not require user accounts or login credentials. Core functionality (device discovery, configuration, and monitoring) requires access to the companion hardware, which is not publicly available. Reviewers can still access the full UI, navigation, and permission flows without restrictions.
